One sort of relaxing Saturday arvo

1 May

Yucks March and April have gone by so much faster than I had anticipated, and the food that I have cooked and ate have gone by unnoticed. Not that it really matters, but highlights were definitely in the form of chocolate cake, pancakes and tempeh that I all make on constant rotation. We decided that today was the day to relax for a bit before strapping ourselves down on the study chairs, and boy how lovely was the sun for a nice walk about!

And there were all these fun things waiting to be discovered from our walk along Gertrude. Like wild mushrooms growing on the sidewalk. Yellow spots-covered rocks.

Not sure if the 5 wedding photo shoots + 1 wedding we saw on our way had anything to do with the Royal Wedding last night. I could barely sit through 10 minutes of that thing, although I can’t say the same for a large percentage of my friends on Facebook… Then you might want to read this short one entitled Lip reader deciphers secret wedding whispers. Seems like Kate was a fair bit stressed out. Thought she might have got over/braced herself for all the crowd/hype/chaos, but guess not.

Fries, nachos and quesadillas.

Trippy’s moving to their new Gertrude Street space soon, so hopefully more seats for everyone! As usual, too much food for two.

Dagmar Rousett and Seventh Gallery along Gertrude. LOVE the ever changing shop front of D.R. and Beci Orpin’s work at Seventh as part of the Curtin show. Overheard the gallery guy chatting and all I could make out was “yeah… yeah… yeah…” punctuating his sentences. :/
